Back with another post for the month of March! I've been busy planning more and more for you guys so some exciting things are coming soon:) I'll keep you posted on that. Anyways, I wanted to introduce the latest look that I have completely fallen in love with. It happens to be an integration of multiple textures and patterns. It might be a bit much for most people but I promise it actually does all tie in together. I'll walk you through it, no worries love!
Alright, let's start out with the base and focus on accessories later. The blouse I chose is a peplum styled top that is accented with pearls (which are considered classy), belled quarter length sleeves, and an old century mimicked collar. Along with all of that, of course me being me, I also layered a black and white patterned satin belt to add more shape. Yes that is a lot of action to the top but like I usually say, go big or go home; if it works, it works. For jeans I went with a pair of ripped denim that is detailed with navy patches in some areas. While you can go more simple with white jeans or a solid colored pant, I decided to go with this pair because it adds more dimension and texture. For those of you who are not on board, that's okay! There are ways to dial this down several notches in order to make it the right look that suits you and your personality.
The ways in which you could make this look more orthodox and compatible with your usual wardrobe is by losing the belt, and again as stated previously, by wearing a solid pair of bottoms. Additional ways on keeping it classy and bold while still catering to you is if you, wear a standard/neutral purse and lose the shades for a more traditional pair of sunnies. The last way you can change up the look is by selecting shoes that convey who you are. What I suggest for the casual look would be either white, black, or nude. If you opted out of the belt and purse but still wanted a pop of color that isn't too much out of your comfort zone, I would decide on a red heel to make it pop.
Now that that's out of the way, I'll explain the accessories that I liked with this outfit that portrayed who I am.
If you're not afraid of being bold then I recommend trying out this look! Okay, now enough of that and back to the actual accessories. I really liked these accessories because of the range of texture they offered to the look. The velvet teal wrap around heels give it a sophisticated impression whilst accompanied with the blouse. When I added that teal color, I knew I wanted to tie it in with the purse. The reason for choosing this purse again, not only for the texture, but to create a cohesive palette. Lastly, I wore cat eyed glasses for an added touch of charisma. I feel like this outfit screamed me and is why I was fully confident when I had it on. I enjoyed how everything was delicate and on the more feminine side. The shoes, the handmade purse, and glasses all add pizzazz. I agree that it may be more than enough for an outfit, and sometimes pairing items may look funny, but it all depends on how you put it together and what the items are.
Never be afraid of being who you are. Wear what you want to wear because you should feel happy doing what you want to do. Don't let society dictate what you wear. At the end of the day, if they want to laugh, let them. They're probably just jealous that they can't pull off the look like you do. Always be proud of who you are. If you can, even try to incorporate your culture into your style as well. The more unique, the more you stand out.
